BJP leader Mission Ranjan Das inspects dyke’s work in Karimganj

Karimganj : BJP leader Mission Ranjan Das inspected the ongoing repair work of embankment of the Kushiyara river in Karimganj town on Friday.

Das, who has been raising his voice for timely completion of all the embankments’ repairs in Karimganj over the past few months, visited Kushiyara Ghat, Steamerghat and Char Bazar on Friday to inspect the Kushiyara river dyke’s work.

Post inspection, he interacted with the correspondent and said the government is taking various measures to prevent floods. Minister Pijush Hazarika visited Barak Valley this week and conducted inspections of many embankments’ work and this shows that the government is concerned and it is trying to ensure that all the dykes’ work in the valley is completed before the upcoming monsoon season, Das said.

Das said, he inspected a number of dykes’ work and claimed and their work would be wrapped up within the next few days.
