Foundation stone laid for two road projects in Karimganj

Karimganj : Congress legislator Kamalakhya Dey Purkasthya laid the foundation stone for the construction of two roads in Karimganj on Sunday.

The two roads, whose foundation stone were laid, are – a road from Rahatpur to Dasgram in Latu-Sajpur GP and another road from Karimganj town rail gate to Deulitilla. A sum of Rs. 1.16 crore has been allocated for the former road and an amount of Rs. 40 lakh has been sanctioned for the later.

A programme was organised at the Sajpur GP’s community hall. Sharing his reaction, MLA Kamalakhya Dey Purkasthya instructed officials to ensure that the road project are completed properly and on time. Maizgram-Sutarkandi Zilla Parishad member’s representatives Bajlul Hoque Chaudhury, ward commissioner Subho Purkasthya and a few others also present.
