While paying tribute to Zubin at the district library on Wednesday, he said that he first met Zubin in 2008. Zubin was always very interested in holding events in this city adjacent to the India-Bangla border, said Mission Ranjan.

Former district BJP president Subrata Bhattacharya said that he always had love for this city. Subrata said that Zubin had a lot of respect and love for the Bengali language, culture and tradition. Former district council president Ashish Nath said that Zubin has a spiritual connection with the city of Sribhumi. Zubin’s family lived in a quarter on Hartment Road in the settlement area for a long time. Expressing concern that this quarter is currently in the possession of squatters, Ashish Nath said that a statue of Zubin should be installed at this place. He also said that the masses of ​​people that has been created to see Zubin’s body will be written in bright in the pages of history. DI of Schools Neelam Jyoti Saikia, district Congress president Tapas Purkayastha, Ashish Nath paid tribute to Zubin Garg through music.

Former District Congress President Satu Roy paid tribute to the late Zubin Garg by reading a condolence message. Then the District Sports Association, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Barak Upatyaka Bangasahiya O Sangskriti Sommilon, Lions Club, Rotary Club, Nrityasree Kala Niketan, Nritya Kala Kshetra, Geetbitan Social and Cultural Organization, Nrityaneed Cultural Arts Center, Surmandir, Swargam etc. organizations paid tribute to the late Zubin Garg by offering a wreath.

The musicians of the city performed music and paid tribute to Zubin Garg. The program was declared over by observing two minutes of silence to express condolences to the departed soul and the breaved family. The program was hosted by vocal artist Rajarshi Chowdhury. The citizens of Sribhumi city organized a tribute program to the untimely death of legendary musician and composer Zubin Garg. After the welcoming speech of the convener of the organizing committee and prominent cultural activist Gautam Chakraborty, the members of the Namghar of Sribhumi city performed the opening song.

The program began at 6:30 pm on Wednesday at the Sribhumi District Library auditorium with the lighting of the lamp and the laying of wreaths at the portrait of the late Zubin Garg.
