Burmese betelnuts seized; two held

Hailakandi : Police seized Burmese betelnuts from a truck and two men arrested in Hailakandi district’s. Algapur early on Monday morning.

Sources said a team of police, based on specific information, conducted an operation in Algapur on Monday morning and seized a huge consignment of Burmese betelnuts from the truck which was loaded with pineapples. The truck driver and another man were held. Their names and other details and the market value of the seized betelnuts were not available till the filling of this report.
