Biswajit Yadav Seeks BJP’s Support for Zila Parishad Election

With the upcoming Panchayat elections expected to be announced in the first week of April, political activities have intensified in the region. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently hinted at the impending notification, prompting candidates and party members to begin preparations. Although it remains uncertain whether the party symbol will be allotted, many aspirants are eager to contest the elections as BJP-supported candidates.  Biswajit Yadav, General Secretary of the Dhoarbond Merchant Association and BJP’s Shakti Kendra Pramukh in Dhoarbond, has officially expressed his interest in contesting for the Irongmara Sonachora Zila Parishad member post with BJP’s backing. In a show of strength, he gathered over 200 supporters from different Gram Panchayats under the Zila Parishad and visited the BJP Mandal office in Chotojalenga. There, he met with Mandal President Ajay Dev and submitted his formal request for party support.  The BJP workers accompanying Yadav assured the Mandal President that his candidacy would lead to a resounding victory, further strengthening the party’s position in the region. They expressed confidence that under his leadership, BJP would gain greater grassroots support and expand its influence.  As the election schedule nears, political maneuvering continues, with candidates actively seeking party endorsements and mobilizing public support. Whether Yadav secures BJP’s backing remains to be seen, but his proactive approach has already set the stage for an intense electoral contest.
