Cachar Police busts drug racket; recovers narcotics worth ₹10 cr

Silchar : In major crack down against the drug mafia, Cachar Police conducted a special operation in Bagador, Silchar, based on secret information, and seized 50 packets of soap cases containing suspected heroin and 30,000 Yaba tablets. The police also recovered a significant amount of cash. Two individuals identified as Rohimuddin (33) and Haseena Begum (24) were arrested in connection with the drug racket.

According to the police, the price of the seized narcotics in the market approx. ₹10 cr. The consignment of the illegal substances is believed to have been smuggled from Churachandpur, Manipur to Assam.
