Dead body of a youth recovered from Sonai Road

Sonai : In a tragic incident, the dead body of a 20 year old youth was recovered from the quarters of the customs department on Sonai Road early Monday morning. The victim identified as Kuti Das, a resident of Saratpally in Silchar, was discovered by locals who quickly informed his family and the Rangirkhari Police Outpost.

Upon receiving the information, a police team lead by Rangirkhari in charge Himakhi Nath, along with a magistrate, reached the location. The body was subsequently sent to SMCH for PM examination.

Police have launched an investigation to determine whether Kuti Das died due to natural causes or if foul play was involved. Speaking to media, Kuti’s mother, Mamata Das, expressed her shock and confusion. “I don’t think he had any enemies. I have no idea how he ended up here. I can only wait to find out the reason behind my son’s death,” she said.

The police are currently pursuing all lead as the investigation progresses.
