Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s birth anniversary celebrated at Karimganj BJP office
Karimganj : The 122nd birth anniversary of Keshri Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was commemorated at the Karimganj district BJP office on Thursday. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp of former MLA Mission Ranjan Das, Subrata Bhattacharjee, and Krishna Das.
During the speeches, the distinguished guests shed light on the life and achievements of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. They emphasised that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was the first to advocate for granting citizenship with protection to individuals who were displaced and sought refuge in India as a result of the partition.
Prominent figures in attendance at the event included Nirmal Banik, Dr. Debotosh Paul, Anup Sen, Shikha Chakraborty and Kishore Dey. The commemorative event was organised by the BJP, Karimganj along with Shyama Prasad Smriti Bhavan and Library Trust.
