Woman gives birth to quadruplets in Karimganj

Silchar : In a rare incident, a woman gave birth to two four babies including three boys and a girl, at the Makunda Hospital in Karimganj district on Tuesday.

Sources said the woman Junita Khasia, who was pregnant for months, was taken to the Makunda Hospital around 3 AM on Monday night after she felt labour pain. Medical tests confirmed that she had four babies in her womb following which her operation was carried out around 7 AM on Tuesday morning. The operation was successful and Janita gave birth of four babies, including three boys and one girl, the sources said.
